7 Tips On How To Supercharge Your Pen1s To Be Bigger And Stronger

We know every man out there loves it if their lady tells them they have a strong and beautiful pen1s and that their s’exual performance is awesome, if not amazing.
So today, we will be revealing to you 7 tips on how to supercharge your pen1s to hear those words more often.

1: Physical And Emotional Health

Your first most important task in order to improve your s’exual prowess, is to revitalize your health emotionally and physically.
Good health is the fundamental of a well functioning pen1s, beneficial s’emen and a high s’ex drive. Without physical and emotional health, you won’t have a high s’ex drive, in fact, low s’ex drive is always an indication for physical ailment or mental ailment.
To get physically in shape, start by improving your diet. Minimize the intake of fried diary products, processed foods and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.

Drink 3 litres of water everyday and exercise. Look into your emotional health, mental stress is a huge factor to erectile dysfunction. Look into and evaluate your stress level and emotional health.

2: Increase The Size And Sensibility Of Your Penis

The right kind of massage in combination with the right kind of herbs, with a little bit of discipline from your side will help you increase your pen1s size.
This knowledge is not very common in today’s world but it has been an ancient tradition. It has been practiced for thousand of years.

The pen1s is primarily a mass of erect1le tissues comprising of three fibrous cylindrical tubes, placed side by side from the shaft of the pen1s and when these fill with blood, an erecti0n is produced.

The two largest chambers on the left and on the right side of the pen1s are called, the Corpora Cavernosa and the smaller one in the center of the pen1s is called Corpus Spongiosum.

The length and girth of the pen1s are primarily determined by the Corpora Cavernosa since erecti0ns are simply the engorgement of the pen1s by blood. The more room you make for the blood, the larger and longer and thicker the pen1s becomes.
It’s very much like a process of expanding and strengthening any body muscle and we are not saying that a bigger pen1s is always better, but this method sure would help you to get a better relationship and to be better in tune with your pen1s and these in turn will help you to have a better body confidence and will help you to have a better self confidence.

3: Test1cle Massage

Men, you have another super magical thing on your body, which are your balls or better named, your test1cles. Massaging your test1cles will help you to provide more testoster0ne. It will help you to strengthen your erecti0ns and increase s’eminal fluids for s’emen and heighten your s’exual energy.
Another thing that’s very helpful, is to massage your s’eminal ducts.

4: Mas-turbate Less Frequent

In case you didn’t know, mas-turbati0n desensitizes your “magic wand”.
During s’ex, especially for a man above 30 years, it gets more difficult each year to maintain an erecti0n, if the partner you’re with is not applying the exact pressure, movement and speed that you’re used to during mas-turbati0n.

It’s also a fact that during mas-turbati0n, you will have a pretty intense org-asm and as a result, you might not be able to have org-asm when you are with your partner.

Here’s an interim solution for you;

Mas-turbate often as you like to but only up to the point of stimulation and not up to the point of ejac-ulati0n. This will help you to increase your s’exual energy, increase the amount of s’exual fluids, strengthens your erecti0ns and it also help to reverse much of the desensitizing that might have occurred in the past.
One thing, never watch p0-rn and mas-turbate. P0-rn has some pretty nasty effect on your s’exual energy and staying power.

5: Increase Your S’exual Power

There is some extremely and powerful herbs out there which can help you to increase your s’exual energy and your stamina. The most easily available herb out there is ginger.
Ginger increases blood circulation in the whole body and it’s extremely beneficial to the pen1s and groin. The other interesting herbs to look into are, Saw Palmetto, Yohimbe, Maca and Ginseng.
All these herbs can enhance blood flow to the pen1s, expand the blood vessels and enlarge the Corp0ra Cavern0sa in the pen1s shaft to increase your s’exual energy.
Besides those herbs, it will be extremely beneficial to your s’exual energy if you limit your intake of c0ffee, c1garettes, diary and sugar.

6: Increase Your Endurance Power

We know there is nothing worse for a lot of men out there, than not being able to have a full erecti0n or be able to maintain an erecti0n until cl1max.

A lot of men also deal with the problem of premature ejacu-lati0n, leaving their partners unsatisfied. So being able to maintain an erecti0n longer is a crucial part of being able to have a fulfilling s’exual encounter with your partner.

So here is our tip for you;
If you sense your cl1max is coming too fast, then try to apply the following technique;
While the pen1s is erected, place the index finger and thumb of the left hand around the base of the pen1s shaft, applying firm pressure with the index finger against  the lower part of the underside of the pen1s. With the index finger and the thumb of the right hand, squeeze the tip of the pen1s 36 times.

7: Make Your S’emen Better By Increasing The Quantity, Taste And Odor

Have you ever looked at your s’emen, ever tasted it or smelt it? If you haven’t, then we encourage you to do so next time.

To most women, it’s super important how your s’emen tastes, smells and it’s quantity. To most women, that’s not on the conscious level, it’s rather on the subconscious level but it’s still very important.
If your s’emen is thick, wide and has a mild taste and odor, then you are one lucky and healthy guy.

But if your semen taste rather bitter, salty and looks a little bit grayish and if it’s rather watery and clear, then this is a sign of an illness or too much dissipation or sometimes too much alc0h0l.
In this case, you really want to improve your s’emen by exercising more, by eating healthier food options and also of course by looking into your mental health. You can also make your s’emen taste better by eating fresh cinnamon, licorice root or pineapple. Try to avoid diary products and sugar. It will make your semen taste rancid and bitter.

And there’s another super important point a lot of men out there don’t know, that the amount of s’emen that you ejac ulate during cl1max have a huge impact of how a woman sees you. If you ejac-ulate a lot of s’emen when you climax, most women think on the subconscious level that you have a high virility and this again might make her feel better about her own s’exual capabilities which again will lead maybe to the fact that she might initiate more s’ex with you.
You can increase your amount of s’emen by applying the already mentioned testicle massage or by decreasing the amount of dissipation and also by mast-urbating only up to the point of stimulation and not ejaculati0n.

Ladies See The Way To Tighten That Loose Vagina

One of the biggest complaints among women is that they feel their vaginas are too loose. The feeling of a loose vagina leaves many beautiful women with low self-esteem and unable to have the sex life they desire.
(An enhanced sex life has to do way more with the mind then the fact that the vagina is a bit more loose but you never know with the guys). Honestly, Sorry is your name if a guy does not feel anything when he goes in down there.

There are many myths surrounding the cause of vaginal looseness that I quickly want to dispel such as:

having too much sex causes loose vagina
you were at your tightest when you were a virgin so when you start having sex you will start to lose tightness immediately,
that having a baby loosens the vagina forever.
All of these, yes all of these are myths and are not true in the slightest!  I have actually had sex with a virgin who was as loose as anything and the tightest woman I have been with was not a virgin neither was she sexually conservative.

It’s not the vagina that’s loose; it’s the pelvic floor muscle

It is important to know when going about looking for a natural way to fix a loose vagina that you target the correct area. The pelvic floor muscle is what surrounds both the vagina and vaginal wall muscle. When the pelvic floor muscle is tight everything else will be nicely held and supported in place. The reason the vaginal wall muscle becomes loose is because it sort of looks and acts like a folded, very elastic and stretchy accordion.  So when the pelvic floor muscle stretches, the vaginal wall muscle can’t help itself and will unfold more and more with it to.

The 6 Main Reasons for a Loose Vagina

Natural Aging process (because of wonderful gravity kicking in)
Natural selection and Genetics: Dark skinned people actually have tighter vaginas possibly because of the extra melanin and collagen with accords them more elasticity unlike their fairer counterparts. Also loose or strong vaginal muscles are sometime genetic and may also run in some families. That’s why you see a particular family giving birth without any tears.
Constant penetration by very large object e’g: Very big penis, masturbating with Yam tubers, Wine bottles, Pestle heads, Big water bottles ETC can cause temporal enlargement of the vaginal canal. This type of vaginal enlargement is more severe and pronounced in fair skinned women but is easily reversible. The enlargement normally reverses in about 8 weeks if the penetration is discontinued
Low body fat can make the vagina seem and feel loose for an average or small penis while a high body-fat especially in very chubby women can make the vagina feel dense, fuller and thereby gripping the penis tighter no matter the size
Child Birth: Vagina loosens after multiple births (e.g. four babies over four years, and not having a break in between to strengthen the pelvic floor muscle after each one.)
There are rare cases where vaginal looseness happens due to severe medical conditions
Natural ways to tighten the Vagina

Never fear ladies there are many natural solutions for you to try & tighten your little lady. Trust in nature & the strength of your body.

Have an Orgasm – the fun part about toning your pelvic floor muscles
When you have an orgasm – that is actually your pelvic floor muscle contracting. So the more you orgasm the more you start toning up your pelvic floor muscle. As your pelvic floor muscle becomes stronger, so will your orgasms
Kegel Exercises are also known as pelvic floor exercises
Kegel exercises are also known as pelvic floor exercises because they specifically target this area and prevent weakness in the pelvic floor area. The pelvic floor is often referred to as a “hammock” of muscles that hold all of the pelvic organs in place. Kegel exercises are a great place to start treating vaginal looseness, especially if you are struggling to reach climax temporarily. Plus, they can be done in the privacy of your own home, when no one is around, so no one has to know you are doing them. Kegel exercises can only help though if they are done on a regular basis.

Here’s how to do Kegel exercises:

When you’re peeing, clench (without your hands) your muscles to stop the flow of urine for about four seconds. Then release those same muscles to let the urine flow again. These are your pelvic floor muscles; these are the muscles you’ll be exercising when you do Kegels.
If you want to check and make sure that you’re using the right muscles, put a finger or two into your vagina. Tighten the muscles. If you can feel your fingers being squeezed (even just a little), then you’ve located the right muscles.
About five to ten times a day, repeat the Kegels ten times per session.
It can take up to 8 to 10 weeks to notice improvement, and there will most certainly be improvement. Like any kind of weight lifting or muscle building exercises, Kegels take time to make a difference!
Insert Ben-wa Balls (Geisha Balls)
Sometimes Kegel exercises are not enough to tighten the vaginal muscle, so if this is the case for you, then try inserting Ben-wa balls also, to try get a deeper strengthening of muscles in your vagina. Ben-wa balls are weighted, therefore once inserted, you have to really engage the muscles down there to keep them in! Of all the muscles you want to tone for summer, the pelvic floor — otherwise known as your vagina muscles — is probably dead last. But Kegel weights, which do for your pelvic floor what crunches do for your abs, have myriad benefits: They help with urinary incontinence, pelvic prolapse, and supposedly make you some sort of lady sex wizard and also give you great orgasms! So if you want to be better at sexing and don’t like peeing on yourself and you are tired of changing your pants every time you sneeze or cough, then Kegel weights are for you!
 Exercise, Sweat, Exercise, Sweat
Do explore other forms of exercise too, like yoga and pilates, as these all incorporate working on the pelvic floor muscle and strengthening your core muscles which together will help keep your pelvic floor muscles tighter for longer.
A Healthy Diet – Fruits, Vegetables, Juices, Smoothies

To keep the muscles in your body strong, you don’t just need exercise, you also need to feed the muscle correctly daily to ensure its correct growth and repair. So, ensure you get a healthy diet full of wholegrain organic carbohydrates, organic lean animal protein (excellent muscle builder), and organic fruits and vegetables if you wish to keep your vaginal muscle healthy and strong. To all the wonderful women out there who currently have vaginal looseness, don’t fret, there is so much you can do about it starting today. Try my suggestions above right away, and you could start feeling the benefits of a tighter vagina, and raised confidence levels sooner than you think! You have the power to do anything after all…

Joshua retains world heavyweight title, targets Klitschko

Anthony Joshua paved the way for a fight against Wladimir Klitschko next year by making quick work of Eric Molina in a third round win on Saturday.
The Briton successfully defended his IBF world heavyweight title for a second time with another brutal demonstration of his power-punching to claim an 18th stoppage win from as many professional bouts at the Manchester Arena.
Joshua forced the stoppage in two minutes, two seconds of the third round after first flooring American Molina with a right.

Klitschko, the former world No 1 who lost three titles on points to Joshua’s fellow Briton Tyson Fury last year, was ringside to check on Joshua and could not have failed to have been impressed.
Klitschko -- 41 in March -- and Joshua are being lined up to meet on April 29 at Wembley Stadium in London, and the Ukrainian will be a big step up in class to Molina.
"I was patient and we move on. This is not the end of the story,” said Joshua in the ring.
"You will realise what I’m all about now. Klitschko wants his belts back and may the best man win. I will worry about myself and training."
Klitschko then got into the ring and promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed Joshua’s next fight would be against the Ukrainian.
"You want a big fight and you've got it," said Klitschko to the crowd.
Joshua, the 2012 Olympic gold medallist, made a measured start against Molina and was content to take his time behind his jab in the first two rounds, before unleashing his power punches early in the third.
Molina, 34, looked comfortable for most of the first round, except for a ramrod jab that rocked him back on to his heels.
Joshua, 27, boxed cautiously in the second round as well, catching Molina at close range with a left uppercut but he did give the challenger anything to be concerned about until the third round.
Joshua unloaded with more venom in the third and then caught Molina flush with a right to the jaw in the American’s corner.
Molina only just beat the count and when the action resumed Joshua landed a quick flurry of punches which was enough for referee Steve Gray to call the fight off.
Molina lasted nine rounds with Deontay Wilder, who holds the WBC version of the world title, before his fellow American knocked him out last year.
But Joshua got the job done quicker and only two boxers have managed to take the north Londoner beyond three rounds.
Molina, who had only been drafted in as an opponent at less than six weeks’ notice after Klitschko decided not to box Joshua, suffered his fourth career defeat in his 29th fight.
British heavyweights Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora settled their domestic dispute, which came close to being scrapped earlier in the week, with Whyte winning a controversial split points decision.
Whyte won by 115-114, 115-114 to 115-113 in an the eliminator for the WBC world heavyweight title, held by Wilder.
Briton Khalid Yafai lifted the vacant WBA world super-flyweight title unanimously on points after flooring Panama’s Luis Concepcion in the tenth round with a left hook.
Concepcion lost his WBA world super-flyweight title on the scales when he failed to make weight on Friday for a first defence against Yafai who earned scores of 120-108, 119-108 and 117-110.

Senate cuts down President’s control of Nigeria Police Force

Nigeria’s Senate is stepping up efforts at saving democracy from executive abuse. It plans to amend the Constitution to decentralise the police force, whittle down the powers of the President over commissioners of police by giving state governors the power of the ‘last command.’

Through a gazetted Senate Bill 346 sponsored by Solomon Olamilekan of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) from Lagos East Senatorial District, the Upper Legislative Chamber has given full powers to governors to issue unconditional directives to the Police in their states.

A copy of the Bill obtained by The Guardian, specifically deleted the proviso in section 215 (4) of the 1999 Constitution as amended that empowered the President to overrule any orders given to a Police Commissioner by the state governor.

The Bill also seeks to nullify the provision in section 215(5) which had prevented any court from entertaining cases arising from such orders issued by the President to the police.

Greater control of the police by states will douse tension between the presidency and state governments over local policing, bolster efforts at fighting crime and ease governance. Effective policing at that level would also help states build the required infrastructure to create jobs.

There have been loud calls for political restructuring of the country for effective policing at the state and local government levels in response to rising spate of crime, including insurgency, armed robbery and kidnapping. The idea of state police has received increasing support despite Federal Government’s insistence on total control of the force. It was also part of the recommendations of the 2014 National Conference convened by former President Goodluck Jonathan which the current government has refused to implement.

Security experts have however said, without appropriate checks and balances in place, governors’ control of police commissioners in their states would be a “recipe for disaster.”

Managing Director of Beacon Security Consulting, Kabir Adamu, expressed worry that the political situation in Nigeria does not favour the decision, as its implementation would help political and self-serving interest prevail.

He said: “But I think it would be better if one sees the checks and balances the Senate intends to introduce in the new law and to ensure that this very vital institution of law enforcement is not used to serve either political party or self interest. If they do not introduce checks and balances, then it is a recipe for national disaster,” Adamu argued.
Aliu Umar Babangida, who manages the Abuja-based Goldwater &Riversand Consult, a defence and national security firm, agreed with Adamu. “It is necessary but not yet the right time to allow governors exercise control over Commissioners of Police,” he told The Guardian .

The Police force in its reaction said it would simply enforce any law made by the Legislature and signed by the Executive arm of government.

“I can’t comment on political decisions; we are professionals and law enforcers. Whatever law comes into force, we would obey, Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Don Awunah, told The Guardian.

He described the Police as an agency vested with the responsibility of enforcing the law, while the National Assembly makes the laws.

The specific amendment that removed the obstacle on the way of state governors in directing the police commissioners reads: “The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (in this Bill referred to as “the Principal Act”) is altered as set out in this Bill. Section 215 of the Principal Act is altered by deleting the provision to subsection 4.”
The same section 215 is also altered by deleting immediately after the word “shall” in line 3, the word “not” in subsection 5. 3.”

The explanatory memorandum to the Bill states that it seeks to alter the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (As Amended) by deleting the Proviso to section 215 (4) and removing the ouster provision of directions given to the Police on combating crime under section 215(5) of the Constitution.”
The amendment, according to sources within the Senate, became necessary following undue control of the police by the Federal Government and its agents in Abuja, which has made it difficult for governors to promptly address security issues in their states.

As if underscoring the move by the upper legislative arm, former President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday urged Nigerians to give the police the necessary support for effective and efficient policing.

Obasanjo spoke in Abeokuta at a maiden meeting of the Eminent People’s Forum (EPF) and launching of “Change Begins with me” of the Ogun State Police Command.

The State Police Commissioner, Ahmed Iliyasu disclosed that the EPF is a collaborative group that works to make policing more efficient.

The former President disclosed that the work of the police is a difficult task; hence, society must help them to perform their duties.

Obasanjo explained that security of the society must be done collectively. He urged the people to assist the police in the community with necessary information.

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, a direct beneficiary of the proposed law, who was represented at the event by Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Taiwo Adeoluwa, lamented the total loss of public trust in the police and urged men and officers of the police to do everything possible to evolve new strategies at combating crime and restore confidence in themselves.
In a nutshell, the Senate is seeking the amendment of Section 215 (4) of the current constitution, which reads: “Subject to the provisions of this section, the Governor of a state or such Commissioner of the Government of the state as he may authorise in that behalf, may give to the Commissioner of Police of that state such lawful directions with respect to the maintenance and securing of public safety and public order within the state as he may consider necessary, and the Commissioner of Police shall comply with those directions or cause them to be complied with: Provided that before carrying out any such directions under the foregoing provisions of this subsection the Commissioner of Police may request that the matter be referred to the President or such minister of the Government of the Federation as may be authorised in that behalf by the President for his directions.”

And section 215 (5) in the current constitution that prevented courts from hearing cases related to presidential directives to police reads:

“The question whether any, and if so what, directions have been given under this section shall not be inquired into in any court.”

The Bill, when successfully passed by the Senate, will face little hurdle in the state legislatures which are required to endorse any amendment of the constitution by the national legislsture before it becomes valued. But with the governors already itching to enjoy powers similar to having a state police, the amendment could have a smooth sail in the 36 Houses of Assembly.

Ronaldo a rare breed, says Zidane before Japan clash

Cristiano Ronaldo is itching to prove just why he deserved the Ballon d’Or by leading Real Madrid to another Club World Cup title, Zinedine Zidane said Wednesday.
The Portuguese superstar, voted the world’s best player for a fourth time earlier this week, will lead Real’s charge in Japan, where the European champions face Mexico’s Club America in Thursday’s semi-final.

“Cristiano is hugely motivated for this game — as always,” Real coach Zidane told reporters in Yokohama.

“He would be motivated even if it were a friendly, that’s just the sort of player he is.
“Obviously we have many great players at Real Madrid but it’s very rare one player wins so many awards,” added the Frenchman, whose side are chasing their second world title in three years this week.

“To win four Ballon d’Ors is a fabulous achievement and it’s not an easy thing to do. What he’s doing is absolutely incredible — maybe he deserves a fifth one too!”

Ronaldo closed on Lionel Messi’s record five awards after a remarkable year in which he helped Real dominate Europe for the 11th time and powered Portugal to European Championship glory.

The 31-year-old talisman, whose joy has been dampened by allegations of tax fraud, insisted that if he and Messi played for the same team, he would have scooped more accolades than his Argentine rival.

“It would be interesting to see both of us in the same team,” Ronaldo told Spanish media.

“I think great players should play together. If we were in the same team, I think I would have more than him, but he wouldn’t be far off.

“Everyone knows Messi is a great player,” he added. “He’s won five Ballon d’Ors.”

Zidane, whose Spanish table-toppers are currently on a club record 35-game unbeaten run, is set to leave out captain Sergio Ramos against Club America.

“I don’t think he will play tomorrow,” said Zidane, looking to bring Real a fifth world crown.

“It’s not a serious problem but he’s suffering some fatigue after the long journey and we don’t want to take the risk. We will keep him back for the final.”

Zidane, who is missing Gareth Bale as the Welshman recovers from ankle surgery, has warned his players against over-confidence against a Club America side celebrating their centennial season.

“For many of their players maybe it will be their only chance to play against Real Madrid and they will be desperate to win,” he said. “I have told the players we can’t just turn up and expect to win, we have to earn it.

“Club America have many skilful and intelligent players and I’m sure they will give us plenty of headaches,” added Zidane. “We expect a very difficult match but it’s just as important for us.”

Barring a huge upset, Real will face the winners of the competition’s first semi-final between Colombia’s Atletico Nacional and Japanese champions Kashima Antlers, that was being played in Osaka later on Wednesday.

Ex-CBN chief urges National Assembly to expedite action on 2017 budget

A former Director of the Economic Research Department of the CBN, Mr Chris Nemedia, has told the National Assembly to expedite action on the 2017 budget to tackle the current recession.

Nemedia, who made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Wednesday, said there was need for the assembly to give accelerated hearing to the budget.

He argued that tackling the bureaucracies of the budget was necessary to facilitate faster passage of the budget to avoid mistakes of the past.

The former CBN chief noted that approving the budget within the appropriate time would enable the executive arm of government to disburse funds to critical aspects of the economy.
“The National Assembly members should carry out their constitutional roles, which comprise critiquing and infusing their inputs.

“However, this exercise should be done in good time to ensure that the economy could rebound as quickly as possible.’’

Nemedia suggested that over two trillion naira should be allocated to key sectors of the economy to pull the country out of recession.

“Investing in key infrastructure and massively in agriculture and its value chain will improve the status of the economy.

“This will help to address issues of unemployment and other related problems,’’ he stated.

Chelsea ready to allow Mikel to join another club on loan next month

Blues fined £100,000 for brawl with Man City
Premier League leaders, Chelsea, are willing to let Super Eagles’ captain, Mikel John Obi, leave on loan in January, according to reports in France.
The midfielder is struggling to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge this season, with N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic currently keeping him out of the side. He missed the start of the campaign in order to represent Nigeria at Rio 2016.

He is yet to make an appearance for his club this season, leading to claims he may quit Chelsea and he hinted in November that may be the case.

And, according to France Football, Mikel may finally get his wish in January as he will be allowed to leave on loan. The Blues board are reportedly understanding about the 29-year-old’s desire for more football and are ready to meet his wishes.
Mikel’s current contract is due to expire in the summer too, meaning he would be allowed to leave for free even if he does not go in January.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have been fined £100,000 for failing to control their players during their victory over Manchester City earlier this month.

City have also received a fine of £35,000 for the brawl in the closing minutes of their 3-1 defeat at the Eithad on December 3.The two clubs had been charged with “failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behavior.”

Sergio Aguero’s late tackle on David Luiz sparked unrest between both sides and their respective benches; the Argentine striker and his team-mate Fernandinho were sent off, while Cesc Fabregas and Nathaniel Chalobah avoided sanction despite finding themselves at the centre of the melee.

The Blues have received a sizeable fine after the fifth such offence in 19 months.Chelsea received the league’s record fine for indiscipline in May this year – £290,000 – and were warned over their future conduct after another brawl that marred their 2-2 draw against Tottenham.

It had been rumoured that Chelsea could face a points deduction, though it was a possibility that Antonio Conte laughed off after his side’s 1-0 home win over West Brom. The Blues currently sit three points clear at the top of the table

Senate Rejects Aliyu, NCC Nominee Who Wants Senate Scrapped

The Nigerian Senate on Thursday rejected two nominees on the Governing Board of the Nigerian Communications Communication (NCC). It however confirmed five nominees on the Board.

The rejected nominees are Aliyu Sa’ida Abubakar (Bauchi), nominated for the post of Stakeholders Management and Ezekiel Yissa (Kwara), nominated as Non-Executive Commissioner.

One of the rejected nominees, Aliyu, had led a protest calling for the dissolution of the Senate.

During his screening at the Senate Committee on Communications on October 18, 2016, lawmakers confronted Mr Abubakar with evidence that he led a protest against the National Assembly. He did not deny it, but maintained his stand and insisted that the Senate should be scrapped.

Presenting the report of the committee on the floor of the Senate, Chairman of the Committee, Senator Gilbert Nnaji, noted that Mr Abubakar was not prepared for the demands of the office.

“Abubakar’s response to the questions and issues raised by the committee unveils him as a candidate who is not prepared for the demands of office,” Mr Nnaji said.

As for Yissa, the committee chairman said, “Yissa’s background as a career nursing officer will not put him in good stead to be able to effectively cope with the dynamics of the communications sector if his nomination is confirmed.”

Thus, Aliyu and Yissa were denied confirmation.

6 tests to help you spot fake rice

China has a history of making fake food items and the fake rice phenomenon has been there for a while. A reputable English-language newspaper in Korea, The Korea Times, reported that “China famous for having all, making all, has now been reported to have made rice out of plastic and has distributed it.”

The ‘plastic rice’ is reportedly made by forming potatoes and sweet potatoes into regular rice grains shape, then adding industrial synthetic resins. It remains hard after cooking and can cause serious health issues. Experts have raised the alarm of possible flooding of the Nigerian market with the ‘plastic rice’.

As Christmas draws close, a lot of people will be getting bags of rice from their employers, friends and well-wishers. You can determine if your rice is fake by carrying out any of the simple tests below.

1. The mortar and pestle test
When molding a few grains of rice with a mortar and pestle, if the powder gives a quite white colour, you are good to go but it has a yellow discoloration, your rice must be fake.

2. The fire test
You know what plastic smells like right. So, get a lighter and burn a handful of rice. If it catches fire and smells like burnt plastic, you have fake rice.

3. The water test
Get a glass of cold water. Pour a tablespoon of raw rice in the glass and stir. If the rice goes to the bottom, it is all good. If it floats at the top, be careful because it means it contains ‘plastic rice’. Do not eat.

4. The mold test
Boil the rice. Leave it in a warm place for like 2-3 days. If mold does not appear in a few days, your rice is fake and should not be consumed. It will not get mold because plastic is not affected by the weather or temperature.

5. The boiling test
Observe the rice while boiling. If it starts forming a thick layer at the top of the pot, it is ‘plastic rice’. 6. The hot oil test Just take some of the rice drop into some real hot oil. If it is plastic, it will melt or stick together or stick at the bottom of the pan. Share these tips with your friends and family so they do not end up eating ‘plastic rice’. These tests are very simple. Do not eat plastic rice, be careful.

Iwobi Nets Brace in Eagles Friendly

Nigerian and Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi, scored two goals in a friendly game on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles defeated Plateau United 3-0 in the game played in the National Stadium, Abuja.
The 20-year-old scored his two goals on the second half after KAA Gent midfielder Anderson Esiti, 22, had opened the scoring in the first half.
Iwobi crowned a superb individual display in the 54th minute when he combined well with Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho to double the lead.
He fired his second goal on the stroke of full time off a rebound.
The friendly game was arranged in order to allow the Super Eagles gel ahead of their World Cup 2018 qualifier against Zambia in Ndola this weekend.
The support for the team was overwhelming as fans were undeterred in spite of the heavy down pour.
The players got mobbed by fans who infiltrated the pitch at the end of the game.

The fans took selfies with some of the players, particularly Ogenyi Onazi,Kenneth Omeruo, while Iwobi was shielded from the baying mob to the changing room.

Great Fayose

Governor Ayodele Fayose has been reported to have wiped the age-long tears of a sick Nigerian lady in Ekiti battling with the inflammation of her body parts.

When Atoke Ayobami graduated from the College of Health Science and Technology, Ijero, three years ago, her dream like that of most ladies out there was to have her time as a National Youth Service Corps member,  get a good job and settle down as a married woman afterwards.

Fate however had something different in stock for this young lady when sometime in year 2013, she woke up only to discover some parts of her body had swollen abnormally.

Atoke visited the hospital and was diagnosed with Elephantiasis, a parasitic infection that causes extreme swelling in the arms and leg.

To say life hasn't remained same since then for her is to utter the obvious. She ran from pillar to post, making endless efforts at trying to raise the medical bill charged by experts who would treat her.

Atoke's story however changed Tuesday evening when the Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose visited impromptu,  the construction site of Ekiti State Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Governor Fayose had after acknowledging cheers from site workers and passersby moved upstairs to see for himself the level and quality of work done. He displayed his expertise in the field of construction, scolded some workers who were found wanting and later made some corrections as necessary.

As the governor stepped down the makeshift staircase,  his face wasn't attractive, one won't ask even an enemy to seek assistance from him in such mood. Atoke was downstairs, perhaps saying silent prayers to God instead of reading the governor's mood.  She didn't have a field day accessing him, she had the governor's security aides and the 'street' to contend with.

The 'street' hailed and got their slice from the governor as usual, they left and it was time for him to enter his car and take his leave. Atoke knew she had to move closer to the governor else the man disappears, she made her move but the security men won't allow her. Trust eagle eyed Fayose, she saw what was happening and asked that she be allowed to have her way.

As this continued, we watched from a fair distance, there was a conversation between the governor and Atoke, minutes later,  he brought out his red pen, wrote something on paper and handed it with some cash unto Atoke. We closed in on her after the governor left and she was so glad to speak with us.

"My name is Atoke Ayobami, I have been battling this problem for about 3 years now, it started with body pain, severe body pain, when it started swelling and I couldn't do anything with it,  including the two legs, I went to the hospital and they said it was Elephantiasis, they said I should go and look for money.  I had just graduated from the college where I had HND in environmental health, I have not started working.

"I want to say a very big thank you to the governor,  I am most grateful, the governor gave me this note and asked me to take it to the Chief Medical Director at the University Teaching Hospital, he said he should see to my case. I have suffered for the past 3 years but I know an end has come to my problem", she explained.

As the doctors often say they care but God heals, it is my prayer that God will lay his healing hands upon Atoke Ayobami and make her joy complete. Dare to make a move, Ask and it shall be given!

$15m: Niger Delta group vows to bomb NNPC Towers in Abuja if Patience Jonathan is arrested

A group known as The Niger Delta Peoples Professional Volunteer Force (NDPPVF), have released a statement vowing to bomb the four wings of the NNPC towers in Abuja if former first lady, Patience Jonathan, is arrested over the $15million found in her account.

Spokesman of the group, Parkinson George-Amabo, in the statement released today, said it is not in support of corruption, but against the manner in which the antigraft agaency has carried out its investigation into the foreign currency linked to Mrs Jonathan. ‎The statement in part reads;

“As a matter of fact, the EFCC has launched a criminal investigation of Mrs. Jonathan and in the process, frozen her bank accounts domiciled with a Nigerian commercial bank without affording her opportunity to state her own side of the matter. Nobody is above the law. The NDPPVF does not support or condone corruption. If Mrs. Jonathan was found to be corrupt, we shall not hesitate to call for her prosecution. We, however, have a grouse with the modus operandi of Mrs. Jonathan’s investigation, given her status as the wife of a former deputy governor, former governor, former vice-president, former acting president and finally, former president. She is perhaps, the only Nigerian woman – dead or alive – with such an impressive and fortuitous pedigree; which accounts for why the EFCC needs to thread with caution. Recently, there have been calls on the attorney-general of the federation as well as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to arrest and prosecute ‎former First Lady for alleged money laundering. We shall simultaneously bomb the 4 wings of the NNPC Towers the day it is announced that MRS. PATIENCE GOODLUCK JONATHAN has been arrested by the EFCC.”

Former First Lady Patience Jonathan’s bank accounts containing $19,871.307.96 have been frozen.

The Nation reports that the cash a is part of the $22.3 million found in the accounts.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has also established a prima facie case of money laundering against the ex-First Lady and 10 others.

The 11 suspects may face trial for alleged money laundering if the recommendation of the investigative team is upheld.

The EFCC declared that “preliminary investigation has also indicted Mrs. Patience Jonathan”.

The 10 suspects indicted in the investigation are a former Senior Special Assistant (Domestic/Household and Social Events to the former President), Dr. Dudafa Waripamo-Owei Emmanuel; Damola Bolodeoku; Dipo Oshodi; Theodora Varinik; Pluto Property and Investment Company Limited; Seagate Property Development and Investment Limited; Globus Integrated Services Limited; Trans Ocean Property and Investment Company Limited and Skye Bank Plc.

The 10th suspect, Sompre Omiebi, is said to be on the run.

The mobile phones recovered from most of the suspects have revealed how the slush funds were wired.

Mrs. Jonathan has sued Skye Bank, claiming ownership of the accounts.

She is asking for N200 million damages from the bank in addition to demanding that the lid on the accounts be lifted.

The Nation stumbled on a report on the investigation. It states: “Based on the investigation so far carried out, the four fraudulent VISA Platinum USD card accounts used by Mrs. Patience Goodluck Jonathan has a cumulative balance of $14,029,881.79 which has been swept Post No Debit Card category.

“Again, her personal account, different from the four fraudulent VISA Platinum USD Card accounts, bears the balance of $5,841,426.17.

“Considering the above stated findings, we can safely conclude that aprima facie case of conspiracy to retain proceeds of unlawful activities, retention of the proceeds of unlawful activities, money laundering, contrary to Section 15(3) and 18(a) of the Money Laundering ( Prohibition) (Amendment) Act, 2012 and forgery contrary to Section 1(2) (c) of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, Cap M17, Laws of the Federation, 2004 have been established against the aforementioned suspects.”

The EFCC claimed that all the funds traced to Mrs Jonathan’s accounts were proceeds of gratification.

The report said: “The intelligence revealed that Dr. Dudafa Waripamo-Owei Emmanuel fraudulently received various sums of money, being proceeds of gratification and retained same on behalf of the then First Family and for himself .

“In committing the alleged offence, Dr. Dudafa Waripamo-Owei Emmanuel, in grand conspiracy with one Sompre Omiebi and Mrs. Patience Jonathan, procured the services of Mr. Dipo Oshodi, Miss Theodora Vavrinik and Mr. Damola Bolodeoku of Skye Bank Plc to launder and retain the proceeds of their unlawful activities.

“On receipt of the intelligence report, letters of investigation activities were sent to the Corporate Affairs Commission, relevant banks , communication companies, Federal Inland Revenue Service, Chief of Staff to the President, Federal Road Safety Corps and the mobile phones recovered from suspects were analysed.

“Also, the employees of various banks whose names featured, together with Dr. Dudafa Waripamo-Owei Emmanuel, were interviewed and a search carried out . Some of the purported directors and signatories to the said companies were arrested and interviewed.”

The report explained that the accumulation of the gratification funds started in 2013 with the registration of four fake firms.

The report added: “In 2013, the principal suspect, Dr. Dudafa Waripamo-Owei Emmanuel, in grand conspiracy with Sompre Omiebi and Barr. Amajuoye Azubuike fraudulently registered the following companies: (a) Pluto Property and Investment Company Limited; (b) Trans Ocean Property and Investment Company Limited; (c) Globus Integrated Service Limited; ( d) Seagate Property Development and Investment Limited.

“However, the following persons , Taiwo Ebenezer, Chima John, Friday Davis, Olalekan Bello, Asuquo Charles, Kola Frederick, Rasak Gbodiyam, Ebi Attah, Agbo Baro and Olugbenga Isaiah, named as the purported directors of the companies, have denied knowledge of the registration and any interest in the companies.

“That after the fraudulent registration, the principal suspect, Dr. Dudafa Waripamo-Owei Emmanuel, conspired with Sompre Omiebi and three officials of the Skye Bank Plc, namely Dipo Oshodi, Theodora Varinik and Damola Bolodeoku, to fraudulently open current and VISA Platinum Credit Card ( USD) accounts for the companies.

How Yar'Adua Tackled The Recession, Terrorism and The Legacy He Left Nigeria

I seek indulgement to type this piece in defense of late President Umaru Yar'Adua who has been inadvertently included in a list of PDP Presidents who "left Nigeria no legacy," according to a public statement attributed to the current President Muhammadu Buhari.

While President Yar'Adua is obviously not here to defend himself, providence demands some of us stand in his stead.
I do not believe that President Muhammadu Buhari intended to include Yar'Adua in the list of PDP Presidents who failed Nigeria over the 16 years, however being that Yar'Adua's name was included in headlines across the dailies, it is important to attempt to properly present his legacy.

Yar'Adua ranks among Nigeria's top two Presidents of all time. By most metrics, two Presidents who had truncated terms were the best by far: late Yar'Adua and late Murtala Muhammad are these two. While President Muhammadu Buhari's first term also ranked high, perhaps the third best, his current term is filled with mixed results and cannot yet be judged to be in the top category according to my humble opinion. The bottom of the list is occupied by the likes of Obasanjo, Jonathan, Abacha and Babangida, noted for looting the nation's treasury silly and enjoying immunity and even being defended of "having never stolen" by eminent persons.

I will attempt to do summarily justice to this topic in several sections. I will utilize swaths from my February 2014 article on the great legacy of late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua as I compare to what we have currently:

Yar'Adua: The Only President To Openly Fully Declare His Assets
Late Yar'Adua was the first democratic President to fully and publicly declare his assets and remains the only Nigerian President to do so till date. While President Muhammadu Buhari published a summary three sentence brief of his assets, a full public declaration of these is yet to be made. The effect of Yar'Adua's public asset declaration on trust, transparency and good governance to Nigeria is a legacy he left of untold value that is yet to be rivaled.

Late Yar'Adua's Legacy on Terror: Boko Haram And MEND
President Yar’Adua had been handed two catastrophic problems by the predecessor Obasanjo government. Movement for Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND was wrecking havoc in the Southern creeks and Boko Haram had similarly evolved in the north east. Under the Obasanjo regime, Nigeria’s national security boss, NSA Aliyu Gusau, a Babangida autocratic-regime henchman and the man behind most of Nigeria’s sad history of military coups and continuous insecurity as recurrent security chief, had failed to abate the problems in the north and south. According to reports, Gusau had actually told president Obasanjo when he asked about Boko Haram, then called, ‘Nigerian Taliban,’ that ‘no such group existed,’ despite attacks by the group.

-MEND
Faced with these unique, entrenched challenges, Yar’Adua selected a National Security Adviser, Major Gen. Sarki Mukhtar – remembered for opposing Abacha on coup plotter treatment in the 90s– who had the commitment and wherewithal to intelligently and appropriately combat the two terror problems.

The Yar’Adua administration with NSA Mukhtar immediately approached the MEND crises with an understanding of the pressing situation.

Through a combination of force and payoffs, President Yar'Adua persuaded all major militant leaders in October of 2010 to renounce violence and surrender their arms in exchange for amnesty, government subsidies, training opportunities, and promises of more money and development of the region. [Ref: Cables]

The Amnesty placated the agitating youth who had reduced Nigeria’s oil output by almost half, more than the current loses by the Niger Delta Avengers and related groups today, and Nigeria invested billions in training and rehabilitating these youth. Peace that eluded Obasanjo was fully restored to the creeks.

-Boko Haram
Faced with a different terror uprising in the north, Yar’Adua with his apt NSA Mukhtar swung into action, again properly considering the dynamics of the northern question. Poverty is predominant in Nigeria’s north, however poverty and/or misguided fanaticism is no excuse for terrorism and murder of innocent civilians and security officers. The nation’s security men were sent to sack the Boko Haram camps in a swift and efficient operation. In one of the few times in recent global history, the terror mastermind, Mohammed Yusuf himself was caught and killed as ‘he attempted to escape.’ Over 700 mostly Boko Haram terrorists were massacred in the operation of July 2009.

But Yar'Adua did not stop there. He drew-up a comprehensive deradicalization plan that promised to monitor and prevent radical groups from resurging across Nigeria's north and also to address the complex societal dynamics that breed terror.

Having established calm and restored security to Nigeria, late Yar’Adua continued with managing other pressing crises he had inherited from the previous administration.

What Obasanjo Left
Yar'Adua's predecessor, President Olusegun Obasanjo, OBJ rode the oil price waves. OBJ’s regime was not particularly economically unique. It more accurately put, was lucky to be in favorable times and the economic growth was concordant with catapulting global oil prices. Oil prices were $16 in 1999 at the start of his tenure and rose rapidly to double that, $35 in September 2000. By August 2005, oil sold at $65 and by October 2007, oil prices were $90/barrel. Obasanjo rode these prices in an 'oil cruise'.

Tackling the Recession
President Musa Yar’Adua had an uphill task. He was coming in when oil prices were dropping during the global recession and Nigeria’s economy faced testing. The Yar’Adua government had to stabilize the economy against dropping oil prices and decreased production as a result of Niger-Delta terror which had reduced oil exports by more than half. This was the heyday of MEND.

Oil prices dropped to a low value of $35 a barrel during his tenure. This was definitely a tough time as repeats today. But a steady hand and refusal to adopt wrong policies protected the economy.

Late Yar'Adua inherited an external reserve of $45 billion, which grew to $63 billion in September, 2008. Due to the twin blows of reduced income from MEND terror and tanked global oil costs, Yar"Adua left $47. 7 billion in the reserves as at Dec 31st 2009 when Jonathan took over. He left Nigeria's external debts relatively unchanged.

Faced with an impending recession rocking the world, the Yar'Adua government dug into the nation's Excess Crude Account to fund the National Integrated Power Project and distribute additional funds national, state, and local governments.

To tackle and prevent Nigeria joining the global recession and shore the economy, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) under President Yar'Adua and led by Sanusi lamido Sanusi (now Emir) ordered the immediate audit of all 24 of Nigeria's banks. The audits were followed by the replacement of eight troubled bank leaders and a $3.9 billion bailout of the banks which stabilized the economy.

The Yar'Adua government published a "name and shame" list of hundreds of bad debtors which included many closely tied to the PDP and Yar'Adua personally recovered billions in bad debts. In contrast today, the Buhari government refuses to publish the names of looters even after they have returned moneys.

Legacy On Corruption and How Late Yar'Adua Fought Obasanjo, Dangote and Other Cabal
Apart from the "name and shame list, in October of 2010, the former chairman of the Nigerian Port Authority and Vice-Chairman of President Yar'Adua's 2007 presidential campaign, Bode George of the PDP party was convicted on various corruption charges and sentenced to jail. This was a man who was first indicted in 2005 by the EFCC but was allegedly shielded by Obasanjo.

A major battle Yar’Adua had to face was the recovery of Nigeria from the cabal. Obasanjo had literally sold Nigeria to private friends of his and his party. Tycoon Dangote had been selected and favored by president Obasanjo not only during his second appearance in civilian regalia but from his first show as military dictator when he gave Dangote exclusive importation rights. With the sale of Nigeria’s refineries to Dangote and Otedola, Dangote owned as much as half of Nigeria’s assets, which included Nigeria’s cement plants, a telecoms licence and mining concessions. Bashani Aminu, a Yar'Adua confidant revealed as relayed in Wikileaks,“Disentangling Obasanjo” cables that Dangote once gave Obasanjo a 35 million dollar private jet as thanks for his fruitful partnership.

“Aminu expects more of the same soon — particularly an overturn of the Transcorp purchase of the Abuja Nicon Hilton. Aminu also noted Yar’adua’s commitment to fighting corruption and told Post he gave the greenlight to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate anyone.

He predicted Yar’adua will overturn the Transcorp purchase of the Abuja Nicon Hilton soon. These deals will be aimed at removing the ill-earned gains of Obasanjo and his close allies such as Aliko Dangote. (NOTE: Dangote and Obasanjo’s Transcorp were both part of the consortium that purchased the Port Harcourt and Kaduna refineries.) Aminu claimed Dangote gave Obasanjo a 35 million USD jet plane as a recent “gift.””

In July of 2007, barely two months into office, Yar’Adua summoned the Bureau for Public Enterprises (BPE), to query the sale of Nigeria’s refineries to Dangote and co. And to the praise of Nigeria’s Labour Congress (NLC) Yar’Adua overturned these privatizations for being corrupt. Yar’Adua was next going after the Transcorp purchase of Abuja NICON Hilton. Though Obasanjo had put Yar’Adua into office against Yar’Adua’s wishes, he having objected to contesting on health grounds, Yar’Adua was determined to rescue Nigeria from the paws of the cabal, even his sponsors, Dangote, who financially sponsored his campaigns and Obasanjo who orchestrated his selection.

But this was not even the half of Yar’Adua’s war against corruption. There was the kerosene subsidy scam, through which the fourth republic stole and still steals 10 million dollars every day from the Nigerian masses. Yar’Adua who was battling with a chronic allergic disorder and had intermittent kidney failure, took this matter as no joke and not a matter to delay on. Within his short tenure, he went hard and firm against the subsidy fraud, sending four directive communications to immediately seize the fake subsidy that ‘was not reaching the beneficiaries – the Nigerian masses. Yar’Adua’s Principal Secretary, Mr. David Edevbie conveyed the directives.

The government spent/spends millions of dollars everyday subsidizing kerosene that was/is sold to the masses at unsubsidized prices in an elaborate, cheap scam. President Yar’Adua on June 15, 2009 gave a clear directive that NNPC should cease subsidy claims on kerosene. Kerosene fraudulent subsidy claims run up to the tune of N300 trillions per year. This was going to hurt Obsanjo and his cabal cronies.

Ambassador Maitama Sule revealed that Obasanjo was scared Yar’Adua would soon come after him and AC’s Garba Shehu said Atiku warned Yar’Adua that Obasanjo was plotting to remove him for his “treachery.”

Today the Buhari government is in bed with Obasanjo and Dangote who are dictating government policies and receiving billions in government subsidies and gifts. A recent Reuters report that covered just 3 months of released Central Bank Forex authorisations found that Dangote alone got $100 million in subsidized forex "gift" in that period [Reuters: Africa’s richest man got a fistful of dollars in Nigerian currency squeeze]. For a year of the dual CBN and blackmarket forex rates, Dangote is estimated to have benefitted a whopping half a billion dollars in forex gift from the Buhari administration. This free money from Nigeria's coffers strengthened the Dangote brand over Nigeria while small businesses were given no concessions and folded up leading to at least 4.6 million Nigerians losing their jobs according to numbers from the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS.

Further, unlike the Obasanjo policy to ban import of goods which Dangote and other cabal have monopolies in, to promote the stocks of these cabal party sponsors, Yar'Adua is applauded to have allowed free importation, limiting local costs and increasing foreign investments in Nigeria. The current regime policies pushed by Obasanjo and Dangote have led to increased hardship while patronizing ad promoting Dangote who is alleged to invest money of many of Nigeria's looters and other cabal.

According to US cables: "...elimination of import bans and lower tariffs on key products, bringing down the cost of doing business and reducing incentives for smuggling. The Mission has helped the Government of Nigeria solve regulatory and policy problems to allow increased electricity supplies, boost agricultural production, and assist in establishing reliable regional and international markets, including use of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA)."

Weekly Trust in their one year tribute, remember Yar'Adua thus:
Yar’adua deconstructed power. He was not intoxicated by it, a fact that even his critics had attested to. He operated within the realm of the law. He didn’t pay lip service to the rule of law and due process he preached. The courts regained the freedom they lost during his predecessor’s tenure. They handed down verdicts that cancelled political victories even though his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was the victim.

Despite his ill-health, he pioneered laudable projects across the country. He initiated the dredging of River Niger, a project that was abandoned for decades. He started the reinvigoration of the abandoned rail system. He brought Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to head the Central Bank, thereby saving the country from a looming financial crisis.

He was bold enough to reverse President Olusegun Obasanjo’s decisions considered to be against the national interest. He saved the country’s three refineries from being auctioned to businessmen, who could not establish theirs. The nation’s comatose telecom giant, NITEL was not auctioned at least during his time.

He fought corruption in his own ways. He pioneered the policy of returning unspent funds to the national treasury at the end of the fiscal year even though the policy regrettably died with him. He prosecuted and jailed those believed to be above the law. His party chieftain, Chief Olabode George was convicted during Yar’adua’s adminitration. He did not create political enemies who he needed the anti-graft agencies, notably the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to humiliate as Obasanjo did.

After his assumption, he saved the jobs of over 160, 000 federal workers pencilled for sack under various pretences. Not only that, he released the N10 billion Lagos State local government councils’ funds which Obasanjo sat fat on despite court orders. Yar’adua went ahead and reversed the increment of Value Added Tax (VAT) from 10 percent to five as well as the hike in fuel price from N75 to N65. Read full

A very important aspect of the legacy of late Yar'Adua was his respect of the law. When he summoned then EFCC boss, Nuhu Ribadu to complete all cases against corrupt persons and spare no one, he is noted to have directed that Ribadu must respect and abide by the law in all cases and at all times. Compared to today, the current Buhari administration has disobeyed the courts in several cases and continues to do so, holding people in detention without charge and in denial of bail.

The Yar'Adua administration is noted to have strengthened the judicial system beyond compare, an essentiality for national growth and progress.

His Death And The Conclusion
There are many more instances of Yar’Adua’s stunning and committed actions towards strengthening the judiciary, developing the economy, securing the nation and total war against corruption. But Yar'Adua suddenly took seriously ill and suspected he had been poisoned. As relayed in Wikileaks cables, Professor Ukandi G. Damachi, an insider and confidant to Babangida and other Nigerian top elite, claimed that late Yar’Adua suspected he had been poisoned by his kitchen staff who he inherited from the former president, Obasanjo. This belief was grave enough according to Professor Ukandi G. Damachi, that Yar’Adua fired all the kitchen staff and replaced them.

Suspicion of poisoning has been rather common in Nigeria’s story, and Shehu Musa, Yar’Adua’s elder brother, was believed to have been killed by poisoning in jail as also it is believed late president elect MKO Abiola was.

Yar’Adua’s wife, Turai is also reported to have believed her husband was poisoned, and this was done to speed up his death. [Fresh Facts, May 2010: “They Killed Yar’Adua”].

When the Goodluck Jonathan administration took over, during a valedictory session in Yar’Adua’s honour, a motion to investigate the conditions of Yar’Adua’s death was raised by senators who alleged that the circumstances leading to the death of Yar’Adua were suspicious, but this motion to probe did not pass the floor and so this possibility was never investigated.

While the predecessor governments, especially the immediate past Jonathan government, certainly messed up Nigeria, we believe it is time the current administration gets over regurgitating the past to explain the predicament of these times. A several month delay in choosing his cabinet (which ended up consisting of nothing special and EFCC and ICPC implicated members with records of corruption in their states) and the delays in signing the budget cost Nigeria a year. This was essential time that should have been used to block and possibly prevent the recession currently bedeviling the nation. Ongoing gifts of billions of dollars in forex subsidies to the corrupt cabal are not helping either. Late Yar'Adua believed in the power of the people over the cabal. This is a legacy that needs to be emulated.

We wish the government success in its efforts to rescue Nigeria.
